Korg and Moog Make Synthesizer Apps Free for Social Distancing During The Coronavirus Outbreak

"A moment to slow down, appreciate our innate strength, and experience the uplifting power of sound."

As Coronavirus shutdowns ramp up, there could be a good chunk of us with a surplus of free time over the coming weeks. And while the streamers will surely absorb some of your attention, Korg and Moog are hoping to grab what's left of it.

According to Pitchfork, the hardware and app manufacturers are offering free downloads of their popular iKaossilator and Minimoog Model D applications for a limited time. Available on both Android and iOS devices (though, from experience, tablets tend to have more fluid functionality,) users will have access to the full app throughout the months of March and April. In a tweet, Moog referred to the offer as "a gift to spread positivity, creativity, and expressivity. A moment to slow down, appreciate our innate strength, & experience the uplifting power of sound." Even the self-quarantined won't have an excuse to keep from being productive.

Get familiar with each app below and head to your designated app store to download the apps today.
