KOTA the Friend, Joey Bada$$, and Bas Drop New Track "B.Q.E."

KOTA dropped the track after a week of delays.

KOTA The Friend has dropped a new track just in time for the weekend. The self-produced "B.Q.E." features Joey Bada$$ and Bas.

"I know BQE was supposed to drop last week," KOTA wrote on Twitter. "We had to push it back to get the track right and make sure it was able to release everywhere on the same day."

The track is one of the Brooklyn MC's first releases since he dropped his Lyrics to Go, Vol. 1 project in January. In late March, he and Marlon Craft teamed up for "Mom's Whiskey." Bas has been relatively quiet in the wake of Dreamville's Revenge of the Dreamers III project and subsequent Director's Cut edition. He appeared on "Risk" from the French DJ FKJ's Ylang Ylang EP.

Joey Bada$$ recently hopped on Westside Gunn's "327" with Tyler, the Creator. The track appears on Gunn's Pray for Paris mixtape. During RZA and DJ Premier's Verzuz battle on Instagram live, RZA played a snippet from an unreleased collaboration between the two. On April 21, Joey teased the prospect of a new full-length release.

"Life sucks rn, yes!?" he tweeted. "But on the bright side, we get closer to new Joey Bada$$ music every day :) you will be rewarded for your patience I promise."

Stay tuned for further updates on future releases.
