Lil Wayne's A3C Performance Ends Abruptly Following False Gun Shot Reports
Twelve people were reportedly injured in a stampede after Lil Wayne's A3C performance in Atlanta was abruptly shut down.
Lil Wayne's A3C Festival performance in Atlanta over the weekend was cut short after an incident left the crowd fleeing from the venue.
This had been Wayne's first performance since releasing his latest album, Tha Carter V.
The Atlanta Police Department released the following statement:
It appears that someone in the crowd at the event located in the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. and Central Ave. yelled that they heard gunshots. This caused people at the event to attempt to flee the location. There have been approximately twelve minor injuries reported to police such as ankle injuries and lacerations from attempting to jump fences.
An investigation continues in ongoing.
Fans and local reporters shared footage of the crowd stampeding away from festival grounds.
