Freddie Gibbs is upping the ante. After years of teasing and tinkering, the charismatic Gary, IN rapper has officially announced his next project.
Titled, SSS (or, $oul $old $eparately,) the upcoming album will mark Gibbs' debut for Warner Bros. While we now have a September 30th release date for the album, details are still slim. However, the project has a lead single in the newly-released "Too Much," featuring Moneybagg Yo, an album cover (see below,) and, of course, a fresh batch of merch accompanying the drop, featuring a range of tees, hats, hoodies, and various casino-themed accessories, which are slated to begin shipping on September 19th.
Though it's been two years since the rapper's last full-length album, Gibbs has kept himself busy as ever, releasing a number of loose singles. He's also planted the seeds for a career on the screen, starring in and writing the 2021 film, Down with The King, and appearing in Peacock comedy series, Bust Down, alongside Sam Jay, Chris Redd, Langston Kerman, and the late Jak Knight.
SSS will serve as the rapper's first album since the release of Alfredo, his critically-acclaimed 2020 collaborative album with The Alchemist. In previous reports, Gibbs claimed SSS would be "the best produced album that I ever made," citing a session with Pharrell, as well as beats already secured from Al, Madlib, Hit-Boy, Sevn Thomas, and more.
