The pop singer has already won three Grammy Awards.
Lizzo opened the 2020 Grammy Awards with an energetic performance at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
“Tonight is for Kobe” she declared before directing an orchestra to play her chart-topping song “Cuz I Love You.” She also performed her popular single “Truth Hurts.” At the start of her performance, Lizzo donned a glitzy black gown and then changed into a bodysuit. On a smaller stage, a talented ballerina wearing a durag also danced.
Right as Lizzo's set was getting ready to end, she unsurprisingly played her flute. When she was finished she yelled “Period!” As she prepared to walk away she shared, “Welcome to the Grammys bitch!”
The rising songstress was nominated for eight Grammys tonight. The pop singer has already won three so far: Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Jerome" and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Truth Hurts."
