Ludacris and Nelly Set to Battle in Next 'Verzuz' Match-Up

Early aughts rap is taking the stage next Saturday.

With the Erykah Badu/Jill Scott showdown out of the way, Verzuz has announced its next contenders.

Not long after the cap on the neo-soul lovefest that was last night's "battle," the platform took to Twitter to reveal Nelly and Ludacris will be the follow-up. A start time for the match-up has yet to be revealed, but it will presumably go down next Saturday.

The Instagram Live event has been a hit over the last month of COVID-19 lockdown, presenting a semi-weekly celebration of luminary catalogs. The next week's battle between early aughts rappers will tour the respective hits of two chart-topping contemporaries, each holding their share of ammunition from the era.
