"This is like the top of hip-hop. This is like one of the originators."
Megan Thee Stallion stopped by Hot 97's Ebro In the Morning on Wednesday (June 5).
Fresh off the Hot 97 Summer Jam stage, the Houston emcee sat down to talk about her explicit lyrics, attending college, relationships, upcoming music, and being mentored by Q-Tip.

The rapper hinted at a collaboration with the legend on her forthcoming debut album.
Around the 19-minute mark in the interview, she talks about first connecting with Q-Tip saying that her late mother had received an email from Tip's team. Megan recalls initially not believing it, but later getting on a long phone call before he'd eventually become her mentor.
"I just couldn't believe it," she said. "This is like the top of hip-hop. This is like one of the originators. I must be doing something right."
When Ebro asks, "Is he cooking up one of them beats for you though?" Megan responds, "He is actually. He sends me shit like every day." When asked if a collab is in the works for the net project, she says, "for sure."
Megan released her mixtape, Fever, in May.
