It's no secret that Nas and Mobb Deep have had a long history together.
The two entities came up in Queensbridge together. And, early on their careers, they appeared on each other's albums.

Last month, Prodigy died at the age of 42. Nas was the one that broke that news. Over the weeks, we saw Nas post numerous Instagram posts dedicated to his longtime friend. Nas couldn't make P's memorial last week, but over the weekend he found his own way to honor the "Keep it Thoro"-rapper.
Nas performed at the WOO HAH Festival in The Netherlands over the weekend. While there, he performed a rendition of Mobb Deep's iconic record "Shook Ones."

At the end of the performance, he led a chat saying "RIP Prodigy," and punctuated his performance by saying "RIP Prodigy,"
