New Prince Documentary will Focus on The Icon's Last Year
Featuring footage from his secret White House show and interview withfriends and lovers
A new Prince documentary is in the works, according to a new report fromPitchfork.

Prince's Last Yearwill take its vantage from its name, collecting footage from the late icon's final tour (the soloPiano and a Microphone romp) and is slated to feature interviews with friends and lovers alike, including George Clinton, Van Jones, Andy Allo, Eryn Allen Kane and more.
It's still without a date, but should it actually debut, this will be the first of threedocumentaries announced since his death to actually hit the air. The first, R U Listening, was totell the story of The Purple One through the eyes of close friends and former bandmates. A second,Prince: Pop Life,from French directorMathieu Bitton was announced at the top of 2017 with no ETA or even an update since.

Though it too is without an official premiere date,Prince's Last Year is locked into exclusivity with the UK's Channel 4.
