DJ Drama is continuing his Gangsta Grillz run — with a little help from Pusha T. During a Twitter Spaces with Rap Radar’s B. Dot last Friday (December 24), the pair announced that they'd be dropping a new project in 2023. Andrew Barber of Fake Shore Drive publicized the news on Twitter for those who weren't in the Twitter Spaces, proving in a follow-up response that the announcement wasn't fake news.

The news comes after Pusha revealed in a recent interview with XXL that he was working on a new album and mixtape.
“I’m working on a special mixtape,” Pusha told the publication, also sharing why he wanted to release a mixtape at this point of his career.
“To have the fun I want to have,” he said. “What I’m trying to do is restore the feeling in every aspect of this subgenre of music. And just of this cloth, of this taste level.”
He continued, “I’m just trying to make people realize how viable this is. To show people that I can’t do what you do, but you definitely can’t do what I do. I have to show those differences. That’s the whole premise behind the mixtape.”
While returning to the mixtape space, Pusha has also crossed off his third solo Grammy nomination this year, with his fourth studio album, It's Almost Dry, nominated in the Best Rap Album category for 2023.
