Red Bull Culture Clash returns

On August 24th, Red Bull will bring its popular battle series Culture Clash back to Atlanta. For the event, some of the top MCs, DJs, and producers from around the world will battle it out in an attempt to figure out who rocks the crowd best.

Based on Jamaican music battles from the 1950s, better known as sound clashes, Red Bull Music Culture Clash has put a modernized twist to these battles. The show, which will be hosted by The Breakfast Club's Angela Yee, will have four stages, each showcasing a different crew and their respective sound. Genres ranging from trap to dancehall to hip-hop to Latin will be featured. The various crews will compete until there is only one winner: the Red Bull Music Culture Clash champion.

Here are the crews, and crew leaders who will participate:

  • Zaytoven with Zaytown Global
  • Mija & Kenny Beats with Don’t Think
  • Kranium with Frequent Flyers
  • Fuego with Fireboy Sound

The winner of last year's sold out event was Popcaan’s Jamaica-repping crew Unruly. Tickets for the event are $20. And they are now on sale. If you're not in Atlanta that night, you can watch a live stream of the event here.
