Robert Glasper Has No Regrets About His Lauryn Hill comments: “Everything I Say is 100% True”

Robert Glasper has no regrets.

Robert Glasperis not backing down from the criticism he threw at legendary singer Lauryn Hill. According to Brooklyn Vegan, Glasper appeared on a panel during the Mondo.NYC conference on Friday October 5th.

While there he was asked if he regrets the comments he made about Lauryn.Glasper does not. (During a radio interview, Glasper said Hill was a diva and that she stole portions of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hillfrom other artists.) Glasper first mentioned that he didn't go up toThe Madd Hatta Morning Showon97.9 The Boxin Houston, Texas to speak about Lauryn. He was just asked if he ever worked with someone arrogant.

Then he said:

My thing was Lauryn was back in 2008 or 2007 Ive never spoken about her in public. But everything I say is 100% true and its been going on for 20 years. And all of my friends are affected. A lot of people with kids are affected. So you have to separate yourself from being a fan and think what if it was your dad who wasnt getting paychecks, you know what I mean? So my thing is just on a basic human level, I would never work with anybody that tells me You cant look at me.'

Glasper went on to say:

But, you know, Im a musician that played for her and has a platform to say something that people will listen to. Shes been told this by everybody in person her team and that kind of stuff. But I dont regret it at all because at the end of the day I think it might shake something up and make her feel like she needs to do a little better.

After Glasper's original comments went viral, Hill wrote a Medium post about all the rumors swirling around her.
