Roc Marciano may have a NxWorries link-up in the works.
Earlier this week, the New York rapper shared a photo of himself in the studio with Knxwledge and Anderson .Paak, teasing a collaboration with the caption "u hoes in trouble now." See it below.
Should something come of it, the record would be the first reunion of Knxw and .Paak since their 2016 breakout album, Yes Lawd!, and the follow-up remix project that arrived in 2017. For Roc and the Stone Throw producer, it would mark a follow-up to their criminally short three-track project, dntaskmefrshit., released in mid-2018 on the phantom looper's Bandcamp page.
The session, and whatever it bears, arrive on the heels of a big year for all parties involved. Over the last two years, Roc, along with the Griselda team, has ushered in a new era of grittier-than-thou New York rap with seemingly unanimous praise of their group and solo outings. Meanwhile, .Paak's latest album, Ventura, earned him the first Grammy of his career for "Best R&B Album" at this year's ceremony. And Knxw is well beyond the century mark in one of music's longest streaks of stellar solo releases. He's also readying a follow-up to his debut studio album, Hud Dreems.
