RZA Says Russell Crowe Spat at Azealia Banks

RZA Admits That Russell Crowe Spat at Azealia Banks Source: YouTube

Correction:The original version of this story contained an error. We originally wrote that "this is the first time RZA admitted to the spitting." This was an error on our part. In an interview with TMZ last year, on October 20th, 2016, RZA said "Russell does spit at her...the spit didn't hit her. If anything the spit would have gotten on me because I was in between them."

The original story has been amended.

RZA speaks about the infamous 2016 incident

This week is the one year anniversary of the infamous Russell Crowe, Azealia Banks altercation.

On Wednesday, RZA, the one who invited Banks to the party, appeared on The Breakfast Club with Mathematics. They were mostly there to talk about the Wu-Tang Clan's excellent new album The Saga Continues.

When asked if Crowe put hands on the rapper Banks claimed that Crowe choked her, spat on her, threw her out, and called her nigger RZA said that "He spit at her, adding that he "saw that,"

Last year, after the incident happened, RZA spoke to TMZ and said the same thing, saying "Russell does spit at her...the spit didn't hit her. If anything the spit would have gotten on me because I was in between them." RZA went on to say that Crowe didn't choke her or call her nigger. He also put up a statement on his Facebook where he said he saw Banks behave in an "obnoxious erratic individual," and he seemed to insinuate that's what caused the altercation.

Banks doesn't seem to be trying to hear any of this. She put a couple of posts on social media addressing RZA:
