Summer Walker has finally unveiled the music video for her single "Come Thru" featuring Usher.
The throwback-inspired track featuring a sample of Usher’s 1997 hit song “You Make Me Wanna” was a standout single on Walker’s debut album Over It which dropped in October. Ahead of the release of the clip, the Atlanta songstress rolled out a teaser.
Shot at the beloved 285 Flea Market in Atlanta, the video directed by Lacey Duke features Walker, Usher and London on da Track who produced the song. Jermaine Dupri who co-wrote the original song even makes a quick appearance.
Throughout the sensual clip, Walker is spotted inside the flea market in what seems to be a comfortable environment for the singer-songwriter, at one point she rides the back of a motorcycle. She later lounges amongst the gold and silver jewelry pieces as London on da Track appears next to her. Usher also manages to flex his dancing skills during one moment.
In its entirety, the video manages to capture the feelings of what it’s like being infatuated with a lover. Duke also highlights love and growing feelings thematically by using intimate, close-ups and shadow-filled shots.
"Come Thru" was the second single off of Walker’s Over It, the song received a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). In late December, she wrapped her First And Last Tour and was recently announced as a performer at Coachella 2020.
