SZA Announces the Release Date For Her New Album 'S.O.S.' on SNL
SZA will release her new album, S.O.S., next week.
It's been a long wait but SZA is coming.
After years of anticipation, SZA will finally release S.O.S., the followup to her 2017 classic CTRL, on December 9th.
The singer made the announcement while performing on Saturday Night Live. While performing her hit "Shirt," "S.O.S. December 9th" started to appear in the background. For her second performance, SZA would do a riveting rendition of "Blind." This episode of SNL was hosted by Keke Palmer, who revealed that she was pregnant during her monologue.

The two also appeared in a skit together, where they performed about the joys of being in a relationship with bigger men.
Last month, SZA revealed to Billboard that SOS would be coming out in December, after years of delays and moments of tension with her label, TDE. During the interview, she talked a bit about some of the tension she feels as an artist who has been able to gain a rabid fanbase. She told the publication.
“I like to create, I like to write, I like to sing, and I like to share. But I don’t know if chasing after superstardom or whatever I’m supposed to be doing right now is sustainable for me or for anybody. I’mma take a good swing at it, and I’mma give ’em my absolute best.”
Earlier this week, SZA released the cover for S.O.S., which features the singer rocking a St. Louis Blues hockey jersey while looking out across the water.
