The set includes acoustic renditions of "Freelance" and "Ordinary Pleasure," tracks that Chaz Bear dropped prior to Outer Peace's release.
NPR's Tiny Desk has released a new performance featuring Toro Y Moi. The set finds Chaz Bear and the rest of his band performing tracks from his latest album Outer Peace, including "Freelance" and "Ordinary Pleasure."

According to a caption accompanying the video of the set, NPR had the choice to do two different performance.
"...aim to recreate the heavily electronic and lustrous aura that birthed his latest LP, Outer Peace or strip away the bells and whistles for an acoustic performance," the caption read. "The game-time decision was the latter and fans were treated to brand new iterations of these songs."
Considering how heavily electronic Outer Peace is, it's refreshing to hear some of the album's songs done in such a stripped-down way. Along with "Freelance" and "Ordinary Pleasure," the band played "Laws of the Universe" and "New House."
A few months back Chaz released a music video for "Ordinary Pleasure." He embarked on a tour in February that began with a DJ set at the III Points Music Festival in Miami. In June, he'll be performing at the Hollywood Bowl alongside Chromeo, noname, and Ian Isiah. Tour dates can be viewed here.
