Travis Scott, Kid Cudi Premiere New Songs on Fortnite, Break Viewing Record

Over 12 million people logged on to watch the performance.

Musicians are finding more creative ways to reach their fans amidst shelter-in-place orders. On Thursday, Travis Scott teamed up with the creators of Fortnite for a monumental in-game event.

"From April 23-25, blast off into a one of a kind musical journey," the game's site reads. "Astronomical is an other-worldly experience inspired by Cactus Jack and built from the ground up in Fortnite."

Scott gave Fortnite players the first performance of his new single "Astronomical," and later released "The Two Scotts" featuring Kid Cudi. Stream the track above.

"Honestly today was one of the most inspiring days," Travis tweeted later. "Love every single one of u guys. And I know times are weird for us. But for one moment to be able to have the ragers to rage wherever you are is amazing. Love you guys with all my body."

The game's developers announced that the event's 12.3 million viewers broke an all-time record for concurrent participation. Scott will put on four more shows on Friday and Saturday. Showtimes include Friday at 10 AM EDT and Saturday at 12 AM, 11 AM, and 6 PM.

Developers also introduced Travis Scott-inspired outfits and emote features into the game. Additionally, players can unlock more Astroworld gear by beating a set of in-game challenges.

"Astronomical" and "The Two Scotts" are both now available on digital streaming platforms.
