Steve Harvey to Host Earth, Wind & Fire and Isley Brothers Verzuz Battle

Verzuz will follow that up with a "How High" 4/20 Special featuring Method Man and Redman.

Verzuz has released its next two upcoming matches following its Ghostface Killah and Raekwon matchup. On April 4, Easter Sunday, Earth, Wind & Fire will be going up against The Isley Brothers (a pairing that people on Twitter requested a few months back. On March 30th, Verzuz announced that the event will be hosted by comedian Steve Harvey.

"There will be no winner in this Verzuz," Harvey said on his morning show after the initial announcement, before going into a rendition of the Isley Brothers' "Who's That Lady." "[With] the Isley Brothers hits...you're not going to be able to shut them down," Harvey said in awe. "The headline is: Easter Sunday, the world's fixing to change."

On April 20, Method Man and Redman will face off for a "How High" 4/20 Special.

Included in the announcement are some other dates: May 8, May 9 (Mother's Day), and Memorial Day Weekend. All of these blur out the next matchups, which hopefully means that Verzuz has some great pairings in store for viewers. Verzuz now takes place on Instagram Live and Triller, following its recent acquisition by the latter.

Both Swizz Beatz and Timbaland have become primary shareholders in the network and, as a part of the deal, the 43 artists who have participated in the series to this point have received stakes of their equity. According to Bobby Sarnevesht, Triller’s executive chairman and co-owner, the move aligns with the company’s “artist first, music first” vision.

“There is no more disruptive and innovative brand in music today than Verzuz,” said Sarnevesht. “[Both brands] share the ‘artist first, music first’ vision. We view this acquisition as more of a partnership than an acquisition, as Swizz, Timbaland and the other 43 artists who are all becoming shareholders and partners in Triller Verzuz from this day forward become our voice.”
