Watch Eminem Kneel in the Middle of Dr. Dre's Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show
Dr. Dre, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and more just on one of the most memorable Super Bowl halftime shows in recent memory.
It was an Aftermath reunion.
Dr. Dre just performed at Super Bowl LVI, alongside Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent (who wasn't announced), and Anderson .Paak who was rocking out on the drums.
Dr. Dre and Snoop started things off with "The Next Episode" before doing their own rendition of 2Pac's classic "California Love" (There was no 2Pac hologram this time, unfortunately.) 50 Cent appeared for "In Da Club," even hanging upside down like he famously did in the video. Before the performance, Mary J. Blige revealed that she could only perform one song. It turns out that wasn't true; she performed the Dr. Dre-produced "Family Affair" and the ballad "No More Drama." Kendrick soon following, performing his anthem "Alright"
And then Eminem came. On Sunday, a report from Puck News reported that Eminem wanted to kneel — in honor of Colin Kapenerick and his protest — during the performance. The NFL shutdown that idea. But it turns out Em didn't listen. During the last moments of his performance of "Lose Yourself" Em, who was wearing an exclusive pair of Jordans, kneeled. (It should be noted that this isn't the first time Em has been publicly supportive of Kapenerick.)
The show ended with Dre and Snoop reuniting to do a performance of "Still Dre."
