With the playoffs still raging, we're still a few weeks out from knowing which teams will square up for Super Bowl LVI. But thanks to Dr. Dre and some of his very talented and very famous friends, at least one component of the most-watched US sporting event of the year is settled.
In case you missed the memo, Dre is running point for the Super Bowl LVI halftime show, wrangling longtime collaborators Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, and Eminem for a star-studded run at the 50-yard-line. And now, a trailer for the performance has been released, adding to the epicness with an Avengers-ish assembly of rap and r&b icons, each answering the call from Dre. The trailer was shared by Pepsi (the halftime show's sponsor) via Twitter this morning and it seems to have fans pretty excited for what's to come.
All four of Dre's guests have an extensive collaborative history with the hitmaking producer. Most recently, Snoop Dogg appeared alongside his former Death Row labelmate on a new song with Anderson .Paak (who is suspiciously absent from the halftime show bill,) which was featured in the latest Grand Theft Auto Online expansion.
Watch the trailer for an all-star Super Bowl LVI halftime show below. Tune in to NBC on February 13th to see the performance live and direct.
