Watch Madlib Spin Unreleased Blackstar and Freddie Gibbs Collaborations Live in Las Vegas

Madlib treated the crowd at Day N Vegas to a set brimming with previously unheard collaborations.

Madlib cracked the vault wide open for his third (and likely last) live performance of the year.

The producer was featured on a stacked line-up for last weekend's Day N Vegas Festival, where he shared the bill with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Tyler, The Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, Teyana Taylor, Jazmine Sullivan, YG, Ari Lennox, Isaiah Rashad, and literally countless others.

Par the course for his DJ sets, the producer's Friday night performance was brimming with previously unheard collaborations, including early glimpses at two highly-anticipated joint albums with Blackstar and Freddie Gibbs, respectively. Both were captured by a member of the audience and shared via Twitter the following day (see below.)

The Gibbs track could be an outtake from one of the rapper's two albums with Madlib or, as the photographer suggests, our first glimpse at the next MadGibbs project, Montana, which has been confirmed by the producer in a 2019 interview but has yet to be given a proper release date. As for the unheard Blackstar song, it is the second track to surface from the duo's forthcoming album with Madlib. Still untitled and without a firm ETA, the follow-up to the group's 1998 debut has been previewed on Dave Chappelle's The Midnight Miracle podcast and recently gained a glowing co-sign from Kanye West, who claimed it was the best album he'd heard since My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy in an interview on Drink Champs.

Watch Madlib spin unreleased collaborations with both Blackstar and Freddie Gibbs in the clips below. Hold tight for updates on both sequels below.
