Tame Impala blessed studio 8H with the premiere of a new song last night. As the musical guest of Saturday Night Live's Sandra Oh-hosted return from three weeks hiatus, the Australian psyche stars debuted "Borderline," their second loose single of the month.

The track follows the release of "Patience" and travels along its shadowy disco-pop thread. Their SNL appearance marks frontman Kevin Parker's second in less than a year, joining Travis Scott and John Mayer for a performance of "Skeletons" and "Astrothunder" on an Awkwafina-hosted episode in October. Just a few weeks later, Parker lost a grip of gear when the Woolsey fire forced him to evacuate his temporary Malibu residence. He released a pair of singles with Theophilus London in the months since.
