GZA, Ghostface Killah, and RZA (as a talking computer by the name of RZA 9000) are the stars of a new four-part web series called Wu-Tang In Space Eating Impossible Sliders. In the first episode, the trio responds to fan questions about ascending their consciousness and where ideas come from, as well as watch an alien fight take place on the moon. It's a strange but hilarious premise that's a little reminiscent of Space Ghost Coast to Coast.
White Castle's new Impossible Sliders were made with Impossible Foods, a California-based company that develops plant-based substitutes for meat and dairy products.
As Forbes notes, the company made the burger "with the goal of recreating the sensory experience of eating an animal-based burger, including its fatty mouthfeel, iron taste, and bleeding."
"The Impossible Foods team was able to achieve this goal in part due to its engineered yeast, which replicates plant-based heme (leghemoglobin) molecules that make blood and meat red and gives it its savory flavor," the website added.
"I always ate White Castle growing up, so for there to be plant-based sliders now is amazing," GZA told Forbes. "Hip-hop in the 1990s had a different level of consciousness. A lot of artists today aren't focused on health and eating right, so we hope to influence others."
The first episode can be watched above or at the Impossible Foods website.
