UPDATE: J. Cole Has Rescheduled the Inaugural Dreamville Festival

Update: Over the weekend, J. Cole announced a new date for his inaugural Dreamville Festival.

The festival will now go down on April 6, 2019. The festival will still be at Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh, North Carolina. And J. Cole will still headline the festival.

But the rest of lineup is up in the air.

What a bummer

J. Cole has canceled the inaugural Dreamville Festival, which was supposed to go down on Saturday, September 15th. The reason? Hurricane Florence, which is heading to the Carolinas and which can eventually become a Category 5 hurricane.

On Monday night (September 10th) the rapper went to Twitter to make the announcement, saying that 30,000 people were expected to show up to the festival in Raleigh, North Carolina:

The Dreamville Festival itself also released a statement, writing that they are "doing everything in our power to make this event happen at a later time."

The First Dreavmille Festival looked like it was going to be amazing: SZA, Young Thug, Teyana Taylor, Rapsody, and, of course, J. Cole were all set to perform.
