Back in March, Joyner Lucas released the single "Will," a tribute to the actor and rapper Will Smith. Now, Smith has returned the favor by appearing on a remix to the track.
Smith's guest verse finds him reflecting on his life as he also pays homage to the people that have inspired him, including: Nelson Mandela, Julius Erving, Muhammad Ali, Eddie Murphy, DJ Jazzy Jeff, his family, and, of course, James Avery.
He also makes a reference to his career as a family-friendly rapper, and how he never cussed in his music, rapping: "Did it all with no cuss words / I ain't had to curse just to keep it real."
In related news, Smith reunited the cast of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air for a recent episode of his Snapchat series, Will From Home.
Ahead of the show's 30th anniversary (the first episode aired back on September 10, 1990), Smith brought together Alfonso Ribeiro, Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Daphne Maxwell Reid, Joseph Marcell and DJ Jazzy Jeff to talk about the show and share memories they have about being on it.
