Ad-Rock Talks New Acting Gigs + Making The Greatest Concert Film Ever On Late Night w/ Seth Meyers

In his post-Beastie days, Ad-Rock has emerged as (somehow) an even more dynamic entertainer than we had ever imagined. A recent stop on Late Night With Seth Meyers showed this in spades, as the eccentric Manhattanite delved into his recent role in Noah Baumbach's While We're Young, acting his age (now, shockingly, 48 years young) and how he had and The Beasties concocted one of the greatest concert films that ever was. In 2006, the boys of Beastie stardom took a nuanced approach in creating a film treatment for their live performance at Madison Square Garden, dishing out 50 cameras to unsuspecting fans in the crowd and miraculously retrieving them come show end. The result was the raucous, all-the-way live film Awesome: I Fuckin' Shot That, the whole scheme for which was conceived, directed and edited by the late Adam Yauch and is available for your viewing pleasure via YouTube. Watch Ad-Rock chop it up with Seth Meyers on Late Night below and go support your boy in his first big screen role since 2007's Godspeed in the critically acclaimed While We're Young in your local picture house today.
