Afrika Bambaataa in pharoaonic attire
Cornell University professorand museum director? Afrika Bambaataa already had a pretty deep resume, but he's going to have to add a few more pages to it after this year. Today the b-boy legend shared his ambition to open up a museum dedicated to hip-hop in the Bronx's Kingsbridge Armory. His plans will only see fruition if they are approved by the New York City Economic Development Corporation though as the empty armory already has several redevelopment proposals. Bambaataa hopes to meet with Ruben Diaz Jr, Bronx borough President, to push the project forward.
