Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Bad Brains, King Britt & More Are Added To The Already Stacked Lineup For Afropunk Festival 2014.
Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Bad Brains, King Britt and more join the already stacked lineup of artists slated to rock the 2014 Afropunk Festival on August 23rd and 24th at Brooklyn's Commodore Barry Park. The festival billed as "the best assembly of female musical talent since Lilith Fair" has already announced a serious roster of heavyweights for the two-day fest including Meshell Ndegeocello, Alice Smith, The Internet, Lianne La Havas, SZA and more. Just to send things all the way over the top, D'Angelo is also slated to play the massive annual event. As if that weren't enough, another round of acts have officially been added to the bill with the announcement of The Cro-Mags, The Bots, Lolawolf and Trash Talk. They have signed on to rock along with Bad Brains, Britt and the Dap-Kings. The festival will also include a tribute to DJ Rashad featuring The Era Dancers and members of his Teklife crew.
