Ariana Grande Deletes Tweets After Mac Miller Loses Grammy to Cardi B
The singer says her tweets had “nothing to do” with Cardi B.
Cardi B became the first solo female rapper to win Best Rap Album at this year's Grammys. Her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, beat out Pusha-T’s Daytona, Nipsey Hussle’s Victory Lap, Travis Scott’s Astroworld, and Mac Miller’s Swimming.
After the win, Ariana Grande, Miller's former girlfriend tweeted "trash" and "literal bullshit" before appearing to delete the comment shortly after.
When a Twitter user tweeted, “Ariana isn’t shading Cardi it’s cause Mac didn’t win,” Grande responded with, “nothing to do w her. good for her. i promise. i’m sorry.”
Another fan tweeted Cardi is “trash tho [for real],” and Ariana replied, “she’s not at all and that’s not what i meant and u know that.”

After receiving the award, Cardi posted a video to her Instagram account dedicating to win to Mac Miller.
"I read an article that Mac Miller's family said that if he don't win, they want me to win, so I'm sharing this Grammy with you, motherf*cker. Rest in peace."

Last week, Grande criticized Grammy organizers for their apparent stances in music-industry politics and attributed this to what led her to ultimately decline attendance.
