Last month, Aziz Ansari announced that his critically-acclaimed Netflix series, Master of None, would return for its second season on May 12th. The reveal came by way of a teaser for the new season. Today, the small screen streaming giant has released an official trailer, featuring co-star Eric Wareheim, a guest spot from John Legend and the return of Ansari's adorable parents.
The trailer reveals a second season that picks up just where the last left off with Ansari's character, Dev, treating himself to a serene Italian retreat, coasting on mopeds with big homie Arnold and returning to his NYC haunts to jump back in the online dating pool. Chances are Ansari and Wareheim's decadent video for Kanye's incendiary "Famous," which is certainly worth revisiting. Last year, Ansari wrote a thoughtful and poignant op-ed for The New York Times, detailing his experience as a Muslim American and how he fears the worst under Trump's reign (not yet a real-life nightmare at the time of its publication last June,) sentiments that could be reflected in the upcoming season of the show.
Watch the trailer for Aziz Ansari's Master of None below and hold tight for its May 12th premiere on Netflix.
