BADBADNOTGOOD & Ghostface Killah Announce Collaborative LP 'Sour Soul' w/ Gritty New Cut "Gunshowers" feat. Elzhi
Stop the press y'all. Canadian punk-funakteers BADBADNOTGOOD and the almighty Ghostface Killah have just announced that they will be dropping a collaborative project in the form of BBNG's forthcoming Sour Soul LP. And they've done so with the twangy guitar-driven new joint "Gunshowers" featuring another embattled rhyme-bleeding soldier in Elzhi. Matching the grit of Ghost's Shaolin verbal styles with about as straightforward of a groove as we've heard from the spry north-of-the-border trio, it finds the pocket in a menacing duet of wordplay from two of the best to ever do it. So put it on your radar, mark your calendars, scratch up your walls. Whatever you have to do, make sure you don't miss the heat that's coming from this all too fitting cross-genre and generational link-up between the gawd and (no doubt) his disciples. Sour Soul is slated to drop February 17th so be on the lookout for some info in the months to come. In the meantime, get your weekend started with some absolute fire from BADBADNOTGOOD, Ghostface Killah and Elzhi with "Gunshowers" below. If you're itching for some more understated funk from the trio, peep last week's smoothed-out and refined fusion-y cut "Velvet."
