President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama recently paid tribute to legendary DJ and house music pioneer Frankie Knuckles with a touching letter that celebrates his musical contributions and cultural impact on the city of Chicago. The letter is the latest tribute to Knuckles since his untimely death on March 31st. It follows Elton John's recent decision to establish a charity fund in honor of the world-renowned DJ. Knuckles' longtime friend and collaborator DJ David Morales recently posted the touching note of remembrance to his Facebook page following a memorial service for his fellow selector, where the letter was read aloud to those in attendance.
