Barbara Gibb, Mother of Bee Gees and Andy Gibb, Dies At Age 95

According to a report by Billboard, Barbara Gibb died at age 95 on Friday. She was best known as the mother of Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb, who performed together as the Bee Gees, and solo artist Andy Gibb.

According to a statement by Barry Gibbs' publicist, she was with friends and family when she died.

Barbara Gibb was born in Manchester, England on Nov. 17, 1920 as Barbara Mary Pass. She and husband Hugh Gibb had five children - four sons, and a daughter, Lesley. They managed The Bee Gees and Andy Gibb's early careers, and both enjoyed huge success: Bee Gees sold 200 million records, and Andy had multiple top 10 singles as a solo performer. She has lived in Miami for the last 20 years.

Three of Barbara's children died before she did. Andy died in 1988 at age 30 from myocarditis, a heard condition. Maurice died age at 53 in 2003, from complications of a twisted intestine. Robin died at age 62, when cancer caused his liver and kidney to fail.
