Dig If U Will The Picture: Ben Greenman Announces New Book on Prince's Legacy and Music Vault
You may know Ben Greenman from recent work with George Clinton on his ...Ain't That Funkin' Kinda Hard On You memoir, or Questlove's Mo Metta Blues before that, but the writer's next act is a purple one. Today he announces his new book Dig If U Will The Picture, an "intimate" look into the musical legacy of Prince through 40 released albums, thousands of performances and a couple decade's worth of vaulted material.
That last part may be the most cutting for purple patrons, as a press release for the book claims to offer detailed analysis of standouts from the vault. The book is slated to arrive on May 4th, two weeks after the one-year anniversary of the icon's death. To commemorate the fallen legend, Paisley Park will host the four-day Celebration, gathering The Revolution, The New Power Generation and more of Prince's affiliated at the fabled Minnesota compound for performances, panel discussions and remembrances.
Later this year, we'll also see the arrival of the new Prince documentary, R U Listening, though no firm date for the doc has been released just yet. Check out the cover of Ben Greenman's Dig If U Will The Picture up top and hold tight for more on the release. Pre-order your copy via Amazon today.
