Big Boi & Killer Mike Are Working On An Album Together
Though it seems impossible, Killer Mike and Big Boi have barely ever shared the same sonic space at once. Of course there are OutKast's Stankonia and double-album Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, where Mike bruises bars on "Snappin' & Trappin'" and "Bust" respectively alongside his fellow ATLiens, not to forget Big Boi's 2012 solo album Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumors, featuring Killer Mike on the Little Dragon-assisted mid-album fuzz "Thom Pettie."
All of these outings predate Killer Mike's prime by at least a year, and since then, he's become a shoe-in for best emcee of the decade. But it appears we won't have to wait too much longer to see those creative cosmos align once more, as Big Boi has revealed in a new interview with SPIN that he and Mike have only recently accumulate enough of a collaborative catalogue to put out a full project together. The only catch: you'll have to wait until after Big Boi's next solo project to hear it. But don't you fret, as Killer Mike and El-P's next installation in the Run The Jewels saga seems to be in good shape for release by year's end. Suppose we'll know in due time, though.
