Black Thought Hosts 'Let's Move It Philly' Benefit Party & Health Forum
The Roots' legendary MC Black Thought, will host the third annual Let's Move it Philly! benefit concert on Saturday, February 16th at Sigma Sound. The event is aimed at raising funds for the GrassROOTS Community Foundation, which helps improve poor woman's and girls health and well-being. Proceeds from the night support health programs for women and girls living in poverty. The night will include performances by Black Thought, Marsha Ambroisus, Chill Moody, Malene Younglao, and Money Making Jam Boys' Dice Raw, Truck North, and STS. Prior to the concert, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter will join the girls from GrassROOTS' C.H.I.C.K.S. program for their Walk/Run and Community Health Forum, taking place during the day at St Mark's Church (4442 Frankford Avenue).
