Blood Orange has been on a late-night tear in these last few months. In August the Dev Hynes-led regime delivered a touching performance on Conan, where Hynes went solo against a backdrop of blood-red curtains and a lone baby grand, adorned with photos of fallen victims of police brutality and prejudices at large.
Last night he brought the whole team onboard (including Starchild and OKP alum, Zuri Lyric) to perform his Freetown Sound standout "Juicy 1-4" on The Daily Show. With band and back-up vocalists in tow Hynes wielded a joyous performance of the track, perfectly up to par with what we've come to expect from BO and Hynes in recent years. Hynes also joins Solange on her new album A Seat At The Table, along with Q-Tip, Sampha, Kelly Rowland, Tweet, Lil Wayne and oh so many more. You can pick up a copy of that on iTunes today.
