Blu and Fate
I’m never one to miss some new ish from the homie Blu, so let’s play catch up as he left us with a few gifts these last few days.
First up, Blu has teamed with fellow cali resident, producer Fa†e, and the two have plans to drop a new album, Open Your Optics To Optimism, next month. We get a taste of what’s to come with this subdued lead single “Otionography.” Blu delves deep into your mental space on this one, while we get a guest verse from Versis and a hook provided by Dolphin. You can listen to that below. Open Your Optics To Optimism will be out September 28th with features from Cehryl, ScienZe, Sene, milo, Open Mike Eagle, Khary, and Choker (pre-order here).
Now that we’ve got the new Blu, let’s go back and revisit his soul amazing series, as he dropped part six earlier this month (unbeknownst to me). The tape features rare remixes, and guest features from the enigmatic emcee. Check it out below, and get caught up with past editions on his band camp page.
