Their performance ahead of the album's Tuesday release showcases James Mercer's sweet falsetto and the infectious songwriting and production that has remained constant across their lead singles; Danger Mouse's contribution to the production is evident as Broken Bells' sonic aesthetic is in many ways a natural progression from his work for Gnarls Barkley with Cee-Lo Green.
