Cardi B Says Men Supporting #MeToo Are 'Not Woke, They're Scared'

Cardi gets critical.

Cardi B expressed doubt ever men in the entertainment industry who publicly support the #MeToo movement.

“These producers and directors, they’re not woke, they’re scared, ” she says in the magazine's April cover story spread.

The 25-year-old artist alluded to men feigning support for women and outrage against misconduct to hide culpability amidst Hollywood's reckoning with sexual harassment.

The "Bodak Yellow" rapper also noted the importance of the movement in Hollywood, but shifted focus on the hip-hop world, opening up about her past attempt at becoming a video vixen and the hardships women on that end of the hip-hop industry experience while navigating sexual harassment.

“A lot of video vixens have spoke about this and nobody gives a fuck,” she says. “When I was trying to be a vixen, people were like, ‘You want to be on the cover of this magazine?’ Then they pull their dicks out. I bet if one of these women stands up and talks about it, people are going to say, ‘So what? You’re a ho. It don’t matter.’”
