“I ain’t going to jail, I got a daughter.”
Cardi B has pleaded not guilty to the assault charges against her during an appearance at the New York Supreme Court in Queens Tuesday (June 25). Reuters confirms.
A Grand Jury indicted the Grammy-Award winning rapper in New York last week on multiple charges, including two felonies following a strip club brawl in Queens. The fight occurred in August 2018 and Cardi was arrested in October.

The case was extended in April after Cardi rejected a plea deal that would have required her to accept a Class A misdemeanor charge.
She now faces two felonies, six misdemeanors, and six violations for a total of 14 charges.
According to Page Six, Cardi reportedly addressed the charges while performing at the BET Experience over the weekend, telling the crowd "fuck you mean? I ain't going to jail, I got a daughter."
