'Black Dynamite' Creator Carl Jones Has A New Series Headed To Adult Swim
We were all a little choked up when we got word that Carl Jones' kung fu kicking, '70s funk scored masterpiece Black Dynamite had seen its last days on Adult Swim, cancelled after just two seasons. But no network snafu will hold back the comedic genius that is Jones, who got his start as a producer on Aaron McGruder's cherished hip-hop satire The Boondocks (and managed to jump ship before things got ugly.) According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jones will be airing a new pilot this year entitled Bubblegoose And Juice, which they have described as :
"Two best friends, a neurotic “Bubblegoose” and slacker “Juice” sharing a tiny no bedroom apartment as they try to maneuver through an unpredictable, supernatural, bizarro world, while still keeping up with the latest kicks."
And while there's no firm air date for the pilot as of yet (or any clue as to whether this will be animated or a live-action styled feature) we're certainly happy to know that your boy is still hard at work. So keep on the lookout for news on Carl Jones' new project and brace yourself for all of the funny. We'll have more on Bubblegoose And Juice in the weeks and months to come.
