Childish Gambino Will Debut New Album 'Pharos' At Joshua Tree Performance This Fall
Last Friday at 3PM sharp, Childish Gambino sent out a rare sign of life via Twitter in the form of a link to an app that featured little more than an image of earth in the extreme distance and a clock that was counting down to...something. Yesterday, at 6PM sharp, that clock hit zero and revealed that Bino had a few tricks up his sleeve for this coming fall. Namely, that new music was on the way and would be debuted at a string of shows in California's Joshua Tree, where both camping and a new album are promised.
It's clear that in the time since 2014's STN MTN/kauai, Bino (or Donald Glover) has been a man possessed by production, landing a role in the forthcoming Marvel picture, Spider Man: Homecoming, and premiering his show, Atlanta, the very same month as the new album is slated to arrive. All of which is to say, that in 2016, Childish Gambino appears to be attacking from all angles: big screen, little screen and stage. And we can't way to see what's next. Pre-sale for tickets to his Joshua Tree shows begin this Friday. Keep your eyes on us for updates on the new release(s).
