The year was 1979. That was the last time Chuck Berry, the man who invented rock and roll, released an album. That will change this summer when Chuck, in all likelihood his last album, will be released on June 9 via Dualtone Records.

The just-released "Wonder Woman" is one of the songs that we'll hear on the album.  The song is a fun, uninhibited track that will have you questioning if Berry was really in his 80s recording some of this material. What's also cool is seeing that Chuck collaborated with his grandson, daughter, and son for this track. He also got some help from our boy Gary Clark, Jr.

According to what Chuck Berry's son Charles Berry Jr.told the New Yorker, the iconic rock star had been working on this Chuck album for 30 years. In fact, a fire in his house destroyed many of the demos in 1989, forcing him to rerecord records from scratch.

We're sure glad Chuck, who died in March at 90, never gave up on it. Listen to "Wonder Woman" below.
