Chuck Berry's Family To Release New Music From Late Icon This Week
As the world says goodbye to the undisputed king of rock & roll, we are reminded that we haven't quite heard the last of him. Late last year on his 90th birthday, Chuck Berry announced a new album, Chuck (his first in nearly four decades,) would arrive this year. And though little is known of what a Chuck Berry album, or even song for that matter, might sound like in 2017, the late icon's family has revealed plans to begin the new album campaign as early as this week.
Taking to his Facebook page with a warm and sentimental note, the Berry family informed his mourning fanbase that new details on the release will arrive in the coming days. Whether Berry's final transmission will be of the J. Cole sort (no features) or the Gorillaz (all features) has yet to be determined, but it appears time will surely tell. In the wake of his passing, contemporary music legends like Questlove, Q-Tip and others with no "Q" affiliation, have sent up a torrent of love and gratitude for his impact on music.
