Cobe Obeah "Soho Pimpin" feat. LV

Cobe Obeah "Soho Pimpin"

Cobe Obeah made an impressive return a few weeks ago with his track "Come Alive In August," but this jawn right here really has the L.A. lyricist in top songwriting form. Listen to Cobe's latest "Soho Pimpin" featuring LV (yes, "Gangster's Paradise" LV). The meaning behind the title becomes clear rather quickly, but I'll let Cobe explain: "The record is about the ills of materialism, and how it affected this young lady who I met my first time visiting New York. We became good friends. She was obsessed with the Billboard life, magazine hype, shopping, commercialism, etc; to the point where she didn't even witness the things that were happening around her, such as gentrification. She became victim to what I call "Soho Pimpin" Many of us become victim to "Soho Pimpin", shit even me. But my experience with this lady inspired me to write a record about it, towards her and extremely materialistic woman in general. Listen." Insightful as always, listen to the StarRo produced cut, below. Cobe's next project, Song of The Starz II: Dark Night, will be out this summer.
