Watch The Powerful Video For Common & John Legend's "Glory"

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Fresh off a huge Golden Globes showing (and victory) Common and John Legend let go of a particularly powerful visual accompaniment to their collaborative single "Glory," off the soundtrack to the newly released MLK biopic Selma. The visual finds Legend behind ivory and Com sharply garbed, each delivering their piece to the poignant and timely march anthem while stills and clips from the film play through. The images could very well have you feeling some type of way, but as the song itself suggests : "the biggest weapon is to stay peaceful."

Selma tells the triumphant tale of the 54-mile march from the embattled town to Montgomery and the countless sacrifices and terrors those who marched endured along the path to signing The Voting Rights of 1965. If you've yet to see David Oyelowo as MLK in the film, you owe it to yourself. And while "Glory" was the only piece of Selma to take home a globe this past weekend, Oscar season is just around the corner. You can watch the moving new clip for Common and John Legend's anthemic collaboration "Glory" below. Stay tuned for all things Legend and Com in the weeks and months to come. Cop the single on iTunes today.
