Family Affair: Consequence & Q-Tip Reconnect On Tuff New Single "No Matter What"

Consequence & Q-Tip Collide On Tuff New Single "No Matter What"

Consequence and Q-Tip are certainly no strangers. Well before each of them had respective stints as part of the GOOD Music camp, Cons joined his cousin (yes, the two are blood relatives,) Phife Dawg and Ali Shaheed Muhammad as the unofficial fourth member of A Tribe Called Quest on Beats, Rhymes and Life, with their first on-record collaboration dating back to a remix of "The Chase Pt. II" in 1993.

Since then, Consequence has detached from the GOOD Music fold, releasing a good grip of mixtapes (with Movies On Demand 2 providing early feature work for Kendrick Lamar and Mac Miller,) and his new EP, A Good Comeback Story, will arrive this Friday, providing a new beginning for the seasoned mic-slayer. As a proper warm-up, the Queens-native has relinquished the tuff new cut "No Matter What" featuring cuzzo Q and marking a mend in their once frayed relationship. Here you'll find Cons and Q riffing on the human condition over a cold throwback beat. You can hear Consequence and Q-Tip reconnect on "No Matter What" below, just be sure to hold tight for that EP drop this Friday.
