SZA Joins D.R.A.M. On A Lush Extension Of Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment's "Caretaker"

SZA Joins D.R.A.M. On A Lush Extension Of Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment's "Caretaker"

Way back in May, Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment finally let go of the record we'd all been waiting for.

Rallying the likes of Erykah Badu, Busta RhymesJanelle Monae, BJ The Chicago Kid and more for the celebratory full-length outing Surf — the album was experimental and delicious to the ears at the same damn time. Amongst that high-powered roster was one D.R.A.M., who had just dropped his infectious breakthrough single "Cha-Cha" a few months prior, singing the warbled, effected lullaby that is the album's standout cut "Caretaker."

But with his sophomore EP GAHDAMN Vol. 1 on the way, the Hampton, Virginia native has delivered an extended take of the mid-Surf R&B marvel, roping in SZA for the continued sonic journey. Here the duo stretch-out the cut, providing ample space for each to strut their respective croons over a sedated, rhodes-soaked groove. We know you've heard SZA soar, but you can't imagine just how proper D.R.A.M. is on this woozy wonder.

Break yourself off some with a full stream of the extended version of Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment's "Caretaker" below and catch D.R.A.M. on the road with Chano, Donnie, SoX and the whole crew over the next few months during The Family Matters tour.
